Cxbladder® Detect

Cxbladder Detect is an established test, optimised for the risk stratification of urothelial cancer (UC) in patients presenting with haematuria.

Detect helps to de-intensify clinical work-up in those with a low probability Detect test result, improving practice workflow and efficiency in urological care, while giving patients the best experience possible.

• Enables reliable risk stratification in patients presenting with haematuria. Safely de-intensifies clinical workup in patients with a low probability Detect test result, while prioritising those who require immediate care.

• Spares patients with a low probability Detect test result the discomfort, anxiety and risks of an invasive procedure.

• A reliable adjunct when other tests are inconclusive. Resolves atypical cytology and equivocal cystoscopy.

Urine in Cxbladder container

30–50 mL midstream urine collected into the Cxbladder collection tube (contains preservative). Do not use catheter samples.

• The Cxbladder Detect score ranges from 0.00 to 1.00.

• NORMAL Gene Expression Score (< 0.12): A score of <0.12 has a Negative Predictive Value (NPV) of 97%. Low probability of UC.

• ELEVATED Gene Expression Score (0.12 ≤ score < 0.23): A score of 0.12 ≤ score < 0.23 has an NPV of 94%. Low probability of UC, however a change in the pattern of gene expression of the biomarkers from what is normal suggests further clinical evaluation

• HIGH Gene Expression Score (≥ 0.23): A score of ≥ 0.23 has a Positive Predictive Value (PPV) of 68%. High probability of UC.
