Our Story
The Codex Genetics founding team first met during a research collaboration in 2008. Our team comprises scientists with world-class training at Oxford, UCSF, Washington University in St. Louis, and CUHK. Driven by a shared belief that genomics could fundamentally change how diseases are diagnosed and treated, they founded Codex Genetics in Hong Kong in 2013.
Based at Hong Kong Science Park, we have grown from a pioneering bioinformatics start-up into a full-service clinical molecular diagnostics laboratory. Today, we offer 41 accredited diagnostic tests spanning hereditary cancer, neurodegenerative disease, oncology, pharmacogenomics, and rare disease.
Our proprietary CoGenesis® platform, backed by ITC-funded research and deployed at leading local hospitals, combines NLP-powered clinical data curation, an accredited genomics analytics portal, and intelligent clinical trial matching to deliver actionable insights at scale.
As exclusive Hong Kong distributors for C2N Diagnostics, Guardant Health, and Pacific Edge, we bring the world's most clinically validated liquid biopsy and genomic tests directly to our patients and healthcare partners.

Aldrin leads Codex Genetics' strategic vision and business development. He received a scholarship to study at the University of Washington, and with his deep expertise in molecular diagnostics and precision medicine, he has driven the company from a research startup to a leading clinical genomics laboratory trusted by major hospitals and clinicians in Hong Kong.

Allen oversees the CoGenesis® bioinformatics platform and computing infrastructure. Trained at the CUHK, and subsequently pursued advanced studies at the University of Oxford with a Chevening Scholarship, he possesses expertise in genomic data science, natural language processing, and clinical informatics, translating raw genomic data into actionable clinical insights.

Professor Chen provides scientific advisory and research support to Codex.
