A Hong Kong-based molecular diagnostics laboratory founded by world-class scientists, delivering clinically accredited genomic testing since 2013.
To digitise healthcare management in Asia and accelerate diagnostic, treatment, and management processes through our integrated CoGenesis® assays and platform — empowering clinicians with genomic insights at the point of care.
To become the key enabler of precision medicine in Asia — pushing the boundaries of healthcare and providing broad access to genomic technologies for every patient who needs them.
The Codex Genetics founding team first met during a research collaboration in 2008. Our team comprises scientists with world-class training at Oxford, UCSF, Washington University in St. Louis, and CUHK. Driven by a shared belief that genomics could fundamentally change how diseases are diagnosed and treated, they founded Codex Genetics in Hong Kong in 2013.
Based at Hong Kong Science Park, we have grown from a pioneering bioinformatics start-up into a full-service clinical molecular diagnostics laboratory. Today, we offer 41 accredited diagnostic tests spanning hereditary cancer, neurodegenerative disease, oncology, pharmacogenomics, and rare disease.
Our proprietary CoGenesis® platform, backed by ITC-funded research and deployed at leading local hospitals, combines NLP-powered clinical data curation, an accredited genomics analytics portal, and intelligent clinical trial matching to deliver actionable insights at scale.
As exclusive Hong Kong distributors for C2N Diagnostics, Guardant Health, and Pacific Edge, we bring the world's most clinically validated liquid biopsy and genomic tests directly to our patients and healthcare partners.
Portfolio expanded to 41 diagnostic tests across 23 clinical areas. ISO 15189 HOKLAS and ISO27001 accreditation maintained.
Exclusive partnership with Pacific Edge — bringing cxBladder genomic bladder cancer tests to Hong Kong.
Exclusive partnership with Guardant Health — bringing FDA-approved liquid biopsy and ctDNA tests to Hong Kong.
Designated as an ITC DesignatedLocal Research Institution (DLRI). Passed GenQA / UK NEQAS EQA for Next Generation Sequencing.
Completion of ISO-ready clinical molecular diagnostics laboratory at Hong Kong Science Park.
Winner of the Spirit of Hong Kong Best Innovation Award.
Secured ~USD 4M Series A funding. Launched CoGenesis® ClinMatch for precision clinical trial.
Accepted into HKSTP InCu-Tech incubation programme. Awarded ITF TSSSU grant for bioinformatics R&D.
